Jake was such a special guy. I met him through JeepForum. He found out we lived near each other and asked to see my Jeep to get ideas for his. Jake never let his injury slow him down, at least as far as I saw. Jake went on to do incredible things to his Jeep that gave him great pride. I was so impressed! My favorite memory of Jake is when he and I installed his front bumper. I remember Jake's attention to detail and incredible skill. We had a great time working on each other's Jeeps and talked regularly for a long time. Jake's road was a difficult one, but he faced it with humor, humility, and a great deal of inner strength. This is one of the good ones gone home too soon. I will miss you dearly, my friend.
