I feel fortunate to have known Dean, although it was only a few years. Dean's beliefs and integrity, generosity, wit, community and country values and primary devotion to his family stood out from my first introduction. Dean was truly a remarkable person. God bless all the Wolcott family.

Dean and Betty were special friends. I met them via the Fort Lewis College Foundation. We shared some special times at the cabin of Jean and Clay Bader. Levi and Marge Garrett, Harlan and Bonna Steinle and Peggy Sharp and I would enjoy some great times and outstanding food. Dean was a mentor to me throughout my time at Fort Lewis College. He walked the walk. I am saddened to hear of his passing and am sending my heartfelt condolences to all of his family. He was part of that Greatest Generation of people and truly they do not make them like this anymore. He is now with Betty and his children and may he rest in peace.
