Della Mae (Johnson) Jackson
Della Mae (Johnson) Jackson entered her earthly life on August 21, 1944 in Hochatown, Oklahoma born to Vic and Elizabeth (Webb) Johnson. Della entered the Gates of Heaven on October 4, 2017 at the age of 73. Della married Joe Jackson on December 2, 1961 in Idabel, Oklahoma and they were blessed with two children.
Joe, Della and their children moved to Durant 47 years ago. She worked several jobs and retired from First Texoma National Bank in Durant. Della loved her Lord and Savior and was a loyal and faithful member of the 7th and Beech Church of Christ. In her free time, Della enjoyed her flowers, dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and she loved all children and they in return loved her.
Della was preceded in death by her parents.
Della is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 plus years, Joe Jackson of the home; children, Carla Daggett and husband Chris of Frazee, MN and Jeff Jackson and wife Debbie of Durant; grandchildren, Cassi Langley and husband Cody, Cole Jackson, Hudson Jackson, Rylee Kuehn and husband Joe, Haylee Daggett and Dane Daggett; 9 great grandchildren and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 9, 2017 at the 7th Beech Church of Christ in Durant. Layne Heitz and Logan Cates will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Jake Jackson, Joey Jackson, Don Procell and Darren Polson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
