Not sure what to say?

To the McDuffie Family:
I am sorry for your loss. It's a shame I never got to meet Dwayne in life but if I had I want to thank Dwayne for the inspiration he gave to my late son with the characters he created, co-created, published, and defended. My son passed away in May 2011 after being struck by a car in front of his high school. He aspired to become a comic book artist and writer and to be honest the inspiration of Dwayne's work was evident in my son's own was quite evident.

To the McDuffie family:
May you find comfort in knowing that your loved one's genius has touched, inspired, and changed the lives of many thru the brilliance of his artistry. My hope is that those who have benefitted from his talent will live up to his great legacy in a tangible manner. Peace and blessings to you all.

I express my condolences for your loss, and I am willing to donate a share of my earnings from my digital comic that might be out this summer to one of the charities he supported. It won't be much, but I feel it is the least I can do. Do contact me if you wish to take me up on this offer, or not. Michael Edwards (Akron, Ohio) email: [email protected]

It saddens me to hear that any great person such as one that has worked on Static Shock or Ben 10 has passed, but in one world, where happiness was made in the minds and hearts of children, one can achieve glory and memory in the next. Rest in peace and be not without it, Dwayne McDuffie.

To McDuffie family and friends,

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. It saddens me to hear about the loss of such a talented and creative writer. I myself am a comic book character fan and I enjoyed watching McDuffie's charcter known as "Static Shock' on tv. I know we all look foward to a time when death and sickness will be no more. May you find comfort in the words of Isaiah 25:8 where God promises that he will "swallow up death forever and he will wipe the tears...

What a treasure we have lost! God bless and comfort you during t
hese times. He will live on in the memories of many of his admirers.
