Dwight called me Ida Rose and he was my dear friend. I am so proud of his daughter Stacy that recently married and Karen his wife for being real troopers and keeping his wonderful memory alive through the August Wilson Foundation. One of the non-profits that Dwight love to support. See you later Big Guy. Looking for my mansion near the Big House. Thanks for letting Max wear your No.78 proudly for the Steelers and bringing home two Super Bowl rings.

To the family left behind! I met him in Dallas. I was leaving a club and he introduced himself. There were other tall and big men like himself but they did not faze me in anyway. He said he played with the Steelers and waited for a reaction, I guess. I told him that was nicd and asked him what instrument he played? They laughed and he followed me to my car. Asking where was I from? Wisconsin but I was not a football fan! I wish the family the very best. He was a good and kind person.

Dwight I will remember you for being the kindest "mad dog" I had the honor of knowing and as a friend from the time we were little kids in Dallas until you had to hang up yor cleets way too early. Rest well my friend. With love and sadness,
Bobbie

I am a Steeler's fan through and through and after all these years I still honor and praise the talent of the Steel Curtain. Dwight will always live in my memories and I will continue to speak of him proudly.

Growing up a steelers fan during the super bowl seventies..mad dog ,in my eyes, was simply the most dominate d lineman we had.. though we never really know our childhood hero's it is with sadness that we learn of each of their passing. He is now part of God's front four. I will always remember all of the fun I had watching Dwight destroy our opponents. A part of my life has passed, too. It is with great respect that I pay my respects to his remaining family.

STACE... I am so sorry. I haven't spoken to you in years, but I had been thinking about you. KG, Jason, and everyone else send their condolences.

The few times (in Jack & Jill and at Hampton) I met your father, I remember he was always so nice. Your family is in my prayers. Please email me when you get the opportunity: dejeannewalcott@gmail.com.
