Daphne was a lovely lady we first met in Park Place Eastbourne when we were visiting my Cousin Jean (Morris) Dawson. She needed someone to help fix an appliance and our friendship grew from there. Her friendship with my cousin Jean went way back to when she stayed at the Morris family while carrying out teacher training in Watford after the war. We visited her in Wells and also when she visited family in New Glasgow Nova Scotia Canada . My wife Pat and I took her to the Halifax Airport when she returned to England after her visit. Pat and I also met Caroline Meric de Bellefon in Paris when at Daphne's request we delivered a picture she wanted to give her! We just learned of her passing through RAF obit via Jean. Daphne was a very special person and touched our lives. With love Alan and Pat McIver.
