Ron was an inspiration to us all. My childhood hero, going to his home in Park Ridge for autographs, pizza nite at the HNS at OLR. Fast forward to 2007, the Houston road trip and Ron inviting my son Nic and I up to the booth. We will miss ya Dage

I had the honor to live across the street from Ron when he was a rookie for the Cubs. He brought me to all the home games that summer. I also went to the first Randy Hundley camp and we had some great laughs together.

I great guy who was wonderful to me everytime I was with him

Ronny you were the consumate Cubs player and fan. Having met you, signed your book, you always had time to talk at Spring training. We shall remember your career with the respect that it deserves, albeit not recognized by the HOF. But we know. Condolences to your family and Cubs nation. The world lost a true hero today.
