Jim and I send our deepest sympathys to the Macauley family. We have such fond memories of the Macauleys from the days that my husband Jim Loscutoff played with Ed on the Celtics. We were all so blessed to share such special memories with each other and still think so kindly and lovingly of each other and those great days together, Lynn Loscutoff.

To The Ed "Easy ED" Macauley Family,

I don't know the Macauley Family, but one think I understand and know that to loss a love one in death is hard on any family.

The Bible tells us at Isaiah 29:8,9 that death will be swallowed up and there will be no more tears.

Ed helped bring a NBA championship to St. Louis I remember watching Ed and the Hawks play the Minneapolis Lakers at the old Keil Auditorium. I was passing through St. Louis in February 1957 and was able to see a game. Although I lived in New York, the Hawks were my favorite team, even when they played in Milwaukee in the early 50s. St. Louis has lost a true St. Louis hero. Go with God, Ed.

In 1951 I was a 14 year old boy living in Woodmere Long Island..My neighbor was Sonny Hertzberg. It was a Sunday morning and I was eating lox and bagels at our kitchen table. Suddenly there in my kitchen as big as life was Easy Ed Macauley. Sonny and Ed both played for the Boston Celtics..Ed was my idol..I couldn't believe what was happening..Sonny introduced me to Ed who asked me what I was eating..I told him..My mother asked him if he would like to try one..He said he would..My mother made him a lox , bagel and creamed cheese sandwich..He confessed that he never had one before and thought it was terrific..There I was sitting at my kitchen table in my house eating breakfast with my idol "Easy Ed "Macauley.. I had to pinch myself..My mother, who ws not a sports fan, immediaately became a Boston Celtic fan and whenever the Celts were on t.v. in the New York area, she had to watch the game. Ed was 23 years old then..He was a great guy who talked to you as a friend..I have never forgotten that moment 60 years ago..If there is a heaven, "Easy Ed" I'm sure God has welcomed you in there to join him.. God Bless you and your family..Lew Lorin
