My sympathy to the family. I met Ed at freshman parent meeting at St Louis U. quite awhile ago. He will be missed but memories will live on. Lily Donze-Shea, Cape May NJ formerly Ste Genevieve MO.

Ed Macauley was one of first basketball heroes when he played at St. Louis. He was what I would call one of the founding players of the NBA when the NBA meant something more than it does today. On top of that, I never followed in the athletic vane but I did manage to follow his career as a deacon when I was ordained a deacon. My condolences to all the Macauley family, Ed is either now telling God how to run a fast break or inspiring the Saints to be more active with the poor souls left on earth. May we met in Tir N'an Og! Ed.
