Such heartbreaking news!!! Carole was one of the most beautiful people have ever met; warm smile and completely genuine and caring person. I was just thinking about you recently Carole wondering where you were these days. You will be missed Carole and the nursing profession is better place for all that you impressed upon it. Condolences to the entire family. RIP Carole.

Dear Barry & family, Glen & Coralie & family, Shirley & Victor & family,
Carole was affectionately referred to as 1 of "The Aunties " - now often referred to as The Antique Aunties!" It all started on Pediatrics in 1984 at the University of Alberta Hospital, currently Stollery Children's. We all worked together in some capacity at some time. In this group of 16 women (now 14), was created a lifelong bond; loving each other deeply, trusting one another implicitly, eagerly looking forward to each and every meeting. Each gathering guaranteed sore cheeks and tummies from laughing and hearts overflowing with Love and Care for each other. Our friendships deepened over the years. Our last gathering with "Auntie Carole" was October 14,2018. In retrospect,we are utterly heartbroken that this would be our last visit with our very precious friend. Carole was truly a Gift from GOD, selfless in her care of each of us, who were so honoured and privileged, to ever have been part of her life! The "Aunties " shall cherish your memory for always Dearest Carole!
To Barry and Carole's family, please accept our deepest condolences, our Love, and our prayers. Till we meet again precious nurse, dear friend, and great auntie Carole, we shall Love you forever! Auntie Sylvia & Lloyd Medwid (Sherwood Park, presently away in Yuma. So very sorry not to be able to be there.

So sorry to hear of Carole's passing. We worked together for several years in Trout and Peerless and shared many adventures there. The nurses in the north' are a small community and they inter connect on many levels. It was a privilege to be a part of that group and to work with and learn from Carole.

I am saddened to learn of Carole's passing. We met at the outset of our graduate studies at the University of Alberta. I remember Carole for her kind heart, her quick smile and her unwavering dedication to others. She will be missed. Our deepest sympathy.

Carole, I know you are still with me as we were colleagues and friends for over 30 years. We met on the job and became the best of friends supporting each other over many phone calls & lattes.

My heart is broken but I know that you are with the angels & loved ones. We will meet again my dear friend
