Dear Leslie,

I dont know whether you ever will read this after 10 years, so this is just an attempt.
I found only today these entries. How sad to read that your wonderful husband passed away so early.
I came to know to you both in 1997, during a flight from Vancouver to Vancouver Island, which was a little bit dramatic. As a result you invited me for dinner to your wounderful home.Sadly, we lost contact afterwards.
I've been to Vancouver Island again with my family twice and tried to visit you. However, the first time you were on vacation and the second time you had moved to Vancouver. We even were at your new home, but again, you were on vacation.
Dear Leslie, I will never forget you and your husband. You seemed to be a wonderful team.

God bless you and your family!

Christel, Germany
Very sad to hear Chris passing, he was a wonderful man. Enjoying watching him stand on his head for the team.
Chris was one of my goalie instructors at the Nelson Hockey School in late 1960's. He was a very nice person.
Hello, my name is John Coco, and I am fifty-four year's old from New York . I would like to share memory of Chris. As a young boy of twelve, I was a huge hockey fan, and I would follow any hockey broadcast that I could find on my transistor radio, as I lay in bed. One particular night, the weak signals of a California Seals game reached me, and I was amazed as the announcer kept repeating "Another save by Worthy!!" I instantly became a fan , and the next day after school, I decided to write Chris a fan letter. Never expecting a reply, lo and behold, you can only imagine my excitement, when my mother handed me the large brown envelope, that contained a photo of Chris, and a card saying " That he wished he had more fan's like me!!" I cannot express, the value, and impact, that a small act of kindness, and recognition, meant to a young boy!!Over the next few year's , Chris would send me updated photo's from wherever he was playing. I still own, and cherish these photo's, and when I see them , it bring's me back, as if it was yesterday!!As I read all of the wonderful tribute's to Chris, I can only say that everyone that had their lives graced by him, were so fortunate!! Even a young fan from Brooklyn, New York, so many years ago!!God Bless The Worthy Family!!
To the Worthy Family:

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May God grant you strength and comfort. Chris has always been a first class individual in my dealings with him. He gave a great interview for my book on the Seals and proved to be a thoughtful and intelligent person. He also sent me a lovely e-mail after he read the book that truly meant a lot to me. I was shocked to hear of his passing. He will be missed.
Dear Les,
My heart goes out to you...
It has been so many years since we shared many an after-Oiler game get-together - i have such fond memories of you and Chris, and the special love you two shared. You are in my prayers.
To dear Lesley
We just heard the sad news from Ken Brown, Chris' old goalie partner and friend. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family at this very difficult time. I (Rod)have many great memories involving Chris as a hockey player and as a friend. He has always remained one of my favourite people. We now live close to where you and Chris lived in Rio Terrace and often walk past your old house. I,Debby(Barb Hamilton's sister) remember watching Chris whip up a great pasta dish and there I learned that pasta needs lots of garlic.
Your old friends from Edmonton are thinking of you.
Much love from Rod and Debby Phillips
God help us all if Chris is running goal on the gates of Heaven! He was a great mentor, and a trusted advisor and leader. He and his family are in my prayers.
Chris's spirit, business savvy and charm will be greatly missed by all who have had the opportunity of working with him. My condolences to Chris's family. We are missing a truly great man.
Lesley and family, we just heard about Chris' passing today.
He and I became great friends while struggling in our Oilers careers but we always had time to have a laugh and make sure that we never got too serious. When I think about Chris I think about that great smile and the shortness of the time we had together. Our condolences to you at this difficult time.
