Colin and I last met in the Cross Cancer clinic while my husband was there for treatment. When I discussed my husband's issues he kindly and gently informed me that I might have misunderstood the doctor. He was right, but he was also very optomistic and positive. This made me feel so much better at a difficult time. We then went on to discuss the exhibits in the Queen trial we had both been assigned to while sitting in the lobby waiting for the respective appointments. His work ethic and gentle manner came forward that day. He will be missed by all who worked with him.

Colin and I were school chums from the time that he came to St. Catherine's School in Edmonton, until we graduated from St. Joe's High School in 1974. During those years, we spent many hours together exploring the city, attending Edmonton Oil King games, and just being kids. I always admired and enjoyed his friendly, happy view of life. Sadly, we lost contact after high school, but memories will last forever.

With sincere condolences to his family.

I was very saddened to learn just a few days ago of the passing of Colin. It seems like a only a short month or two ago that I saw him in the court house on the elevator and we shared our usual genial greetings. Colin and I spent many work hours together in the Court of Queen's Bench and he was always very warm and friendly, yet professional in the best tradition of a Clerk of the Court. We also shared some beautiful fall days watching our sons play fall ball' baseball. Colin will be missed greatly. The Court House will not be the same without him. Patricia Innes, Q.C.
