I will miss your Dad, he was always so entertaining with his telephone conversations. He was our life line with all of the family updates and his ability to remember the birthdays with a song.

Darrell, Grant and family,
Uncle Ely will be so missed, every time I see his "Home made Beer Bottle Binoculars" I can't help but laugh and remember his zest for life and making people laugh.
Hugs to all of you.

To Darrell, Grant, and Uncle Ely's grand daughters sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace. The memory any of us have of him lives on to the extent we share our thoughts and think of him. He was one of a kind and a unique character even within his own extended family. The telephone was his life line over many years keeping in touch with people. He made a point of that. Tim Horton's was his preference for meeting and treating his guests. Thank you for your generousity, humor, and songs Uncle Eli.

Darrell and Grant,
I am truly sorry your dad went through such a horrific battle with his health for so long. His keen sense of humour and positive nature will be remembered (along with his shuffleboard skills). I recall many wonderful visits with your parents. They were both so welcoming, two of the most genuine people I've yet to meet.
I know how much family meant to your parents, especially their grandchildren. They truly are with you always.

May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. (Isaiah 61:1,2) With heartfelt sympathy.
