Dear Hans, Thank you for your note. Please send me your address ([email protected]) so that I can send you a card. Paul

I was lucky to know Eva through my good friends Paul and Steve. Later I had the fortune to enjoy her friendship. I will always remember the books she lent me, and the lunches and dinners she treated me to after George died. I admired her courage and will always remember the kindness and friendship she extended to me. My thoughts are with your family.

I first met Eva through Paul, who was a fellow student at the U of A in the early 1980s. I didn't know your mother well but felt close to her nevertheless on some unspoken level. In the way poetry and nature connect us with each other, she connected with me. She was very special. My sincere condolences to the whole family.

We always admired Eva as a kind, thoughtful, elegant woman. We had not seen her for several years since she left Edmonton. She and her husband were our next door neighbors when we first moved to Edmonton and they were welcoming and friendly to us. They then built a house in the neighborhood near where we moved when we had to find a larger property as children arrived. We saw their three child grow and prosper in life and want them all to know that we send our sincere condolences.

Our exotic, elegant, learned, loving Auntie Eva will be missed always.
