Very sorry to hear of your loss, Barbara and Lloyd. I never realized she taught at Bellevue School. I was there in grade 5 about 1950. And of course, Barbara and Lloyd, we are friends from many years ago.

My parents, Anne and Curly Sum were friends of the Dahl family. We remember her from the Edelweiss club and as the president of the Edelweiss Ladies club. She was a wonderful lady with an amazing memory. My husband Ted and I are sorry that we were unable to attend the celebration of her life and offer our condolence to the family.

Mrs. Dahl taught me Grade 3 l958-59. I just loved her, so kind and thoughtful. Used to see her in the community for many many years after and also had a hello and smile. Such a gem.....

To the family of Gertrude Dahl, the sincerest condolences on the loss of a most remarkable woman. Generally we would visit her almost once a week and we would have some very engaging conversation about some historical events or just general conversation. We enjoyed her company so very much. Keep all of your happiest memories of her and hold them so close to your hearts. She will be missed by many for the so many years of volunteering she had done at the Bellevue Community League, Highlands United Church, SAGE, Bellevue School and many others. She really enjoyed playing Yahtzee with her niece Karen. We will miss such a delightful lady. Deb and Bruce

Mrs. Dahl was my grade 2 teacher at Bellevue in 1967. It was truly a privilege having her.

Mrs. Dahl was my grade 3 teacher at Montrose School and then the neighbor of my uncle and aunt in Highlands. She was a wonderful teacher and a great lady.

My condolences to family and friends. What a great life Gertrude lived and shared. My classroom at Bellevue school was the recipient of Gertrude's many hours of volunteerism. Her patience, energy and optimism were so appreciated. I was also lucky enough to have her as a tour guide several times at city hall, and most times if the mayor was 'in the house' he/she would always stop for Gertrude's tours. I am so appreciative of the time she was able to give us, even on snowy blustery days.
