I have so many great memories of Mrs. Klein from her English and Drama classes. Her enthusiasm and energy was infectious.
My best memories of her are from the 1999 Euro trip. At one of the hotels our group stayed at, we ended up as participants in a fun battle of the sexes contest. We had to complete silly tasks and answer even sillier questions. I remember laughing so hard that my stomach hurt and having such a fun time because I had such an awesome team mate. Mrs. Klein was a hoot! Always doing everything 100% and always full of life. Who didn't have fun around Mrs. Klein! On the same trip, I was also touched by how thoughtful and generous she was. The night before Easter, there was a knock on our hotel door. She was standing there with all these beautifully wrapped little bags of Easter treats for everyone on the trip. She had been carrying these all around Europe just so we could have something nice for Easter.
I feel so blessed to have known her. She was an amazingly inspirational person. A beautiful spirit that I will never forget. Thank you for touching my life and for all the great memories. Rest in peace Mrs. Klein.
I just found out that the wonderful and talented Mrs. Klein passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. She was an amazing and inspirational teacher.
I only found out yesterday of Mrs. Klein's passing and was very saddened to hear of this great loss. If her affect on me and many of my classmates is any indication, she'll leave a lasting legacy to many, many people that had the privilege of being part of her tutelage. She was instrumental in expanding my love of literature and the theatre, and is one of only a very select few teachers that I actually looked forward to being taught by.
Goodbye Mrs. Klein - may you rest in peace.
(Archbishop MacDonald, class of '94)
Chris and I went to school together from grades one to twelve. We hung out a lot in junior high and high school. It was a real shock to hear of her passing. Mrs. Klein taught me English for my entire high school career. I looked forward to her happy, enthusiasm every day. She was the most caring, unique, inspiring individual I have come across to date. She will be missed. My condolences to her family, she was a lovely person...
I knew Chris through the book club. Chris was the type of person who even if you only ever met her once, you would miss her. Her passion and love of life left you wanting more. My condolences to her family and friends whose pain must be immeasurable.
We were always fascinated at how Chris could be such a stickler for grammar but so carefree and spontaneous in every other aspect of her life. Truly a wonderfully complex, vivacious and fun-loving person who will be sadly missed on this earth. She touched so many lives and will always be remembered for all she has given. We are so sorry for your loss and wish you peace and fond memories.
Dear Murray, Evan and Brett
We will miss Chris' effervescent personality, sense of humour, and joie de vivre. The 'hood just won't be the same without her.

Mrs. Klein was my grade 12 English teacher and I remember her fondly. Her passion for teaching and her passion for life were contagious. She was an inspiration and left a very positive lasting impression on me and, without doubt, everyone she crossed paths with. Heaven is now an even brighter place with her in it (and with better grammer, no doubt). May she rest in peace.
Dear Murray & family,

My deepest condolences to Chris' family and friends. I had the pleasure of teaching with Chris at Archbishop MacDonald. Yes, she did live out loud! Though I once overheard her telling her class how “her uterus ached for a girl,” the deep love and affection she had for her three “boys” was so obvious. Murray, Brett and Evan, she spoke of you often and it was so apparent how much she loved you all. I left MAC in 2006 to start my own family and on the occasions when I would bring my children to the school for a visit, Chris was always first in line for a cuddle with them. Her passion for teaching and teenagers was an inspiration to me and many others. I am so sorry for your loss.
Genevieve and the Klein family, so very sorry for your loss. I remember a young Christine coming over to walk and play with our dog Spice. Her having a love of animals does not come as a surprise.

Another student with an understanding of high school English, and other things, wonderfully dismantled and rebuilt under Mrs. Klein's dexterous teaching. Condolences to your family and thank you for everything, Mrs.K.
Our deepest sympathies to Murray, Brett and Evan. Chris was an amazing, caring, generous and vivacious woman! Her family and friends were always a priority in her life. She had a zest for life. All those hockey and lacrosse practices/games that we sat together and cheered our boys on then grading papers during intermissions seem just like yesterday. You were always the perfect host; our time at your cabin that NewYears Eve with the Charrois' was one that we'll never forget. You and your family welcomed us and made us feel at home. You will be missed. Thinking of all of you during this difficult time! Blessings, Niels and Connie Hansen & Matthew and Marc Johnson
Murray, we are so sorry to hear of the loss of Chris, by reading all of the kind words left here she will be missed by many people. Please know that you are in our prayers at this difficult time.
There are few people you meet who truly live life to the fullest. Chris Klein was one of those people. Although I did not have her as a teacher at Archbishop MacDonald H.S., we got to know each other quite well as my locker was right outside her classroom and she was regularly sticking her head out of the door to tell me to be quiet as I was laughing too loud! We hit it off and my life was enriched further by her presence when we travelled to China on a school trip in '91. We shared a deeply engrained love of travel and I still remember many experiences and laughs with her from that trip. It was not only through travel that we connected: the impression she left on me was deep enough to influence future decisions in my life such as my current career. As others have already acknowledged, I too feel deeply privileged and honoured to have known her. To her family and close friends, I offer my sympathy. Thank you Chris for being such a positive and strong influence in so many lives, including my own.
My condolences and prayers. Mrs. Klein was my English teacher at Mac. She was a great teacher and touched so many lives.
My deepest sympathy to you Murray and to your family.
Chris was an amazing person. I was fortunate enough to meet her last summer horse showing. She will be greatly missed at the in the riding world. My thoughts and prayers to the Klein family, I am so sorry for your loss.
We met Chris at the airport in Vancouver on route to Maui and she invited us over for a meal. My husband had just gone through radiation, and she welcomed us with love and kindness and treated us, like we were family! Our prayers are with the family at this difficult time.Hopefully, we'll all learn the lessons she taught.
Love Barry and Kathryn MacDonald
Mrs. Klein was my English teacher at MAC all three years, 96-99. I'll forever remember her passion for literature, her family and her students. I'll be living out loud. You won't be forgotten, Mrs. K.
Dear Murray and family, So very sorry to hear of the loss of Chris...mom always spoke very fondly of her, i know she will be very missed. Thinking of you in this time of sorrow.
I will not forget her, she was a wonderful part of a wonderful time in my life.
Mrs. Klein was my Grade 11 English teacher and I will never forget her class, especially attendance questions and her guidance through Ibsen and others.
Perhaps the most memorable thing is that one day, she foudn out my friend and I were going to a new release movie after school and didn't have tickets. She was taking her sons, so she got tickets for us, drove us to the theatre with her family, and even gave us treat bags!
There will always be one teacher in your life who inspired and lit up your world with possibilities: Mrs. Klein was definitely that beacon. As evident from all her students, both past and present, she will be terribly missed for her amazing energy and one of a kind crazy quotes:)
From the bottom of our saddened hearts, the class of 2001 would like to thank Mrs. Klein for being the best teacher/mentor to all of us; you truly showed us what it meant to "love life"....xoxoxo!
A beloved teacher whose enthusiasm and lust for life were truly contagious. I still have fond memories of a high school trip to Italy and Mrs. Klein singing in a crowded restaurant at the top of her lungs while wearing a folded napkin on her head.
She will be missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends and students. My deepest condolences on her loss.
It was an honor and priveledge to have met and known such a kind, loving, and vivacious person who made an impact on everyone she met and she will be truly missed. My thoughts and Prayers are with her Family and Friends.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
