My deepest sympathy to Dave's family and friends. As the parent of a former Ainlay Titan and Golden Bear, I want to say how grateful I am for the many years the 'Big Guy' gave to helping and guiding our sons. His quiet way and big friendly smile will be sorely missed.
I knew Dave at U of A and am so saddened to hear of his untimely passing. He has stayed in my fondest memories as a lovely man, and a terrific athlete. My most sincere condolences to his family.
My sincere condolences on the passing of Dave. I first met "Dutch" some 35 years ago as a fellow norwester. My memories of Dave are a a quiet leader, caring and fun loving. We have lost a truly wonderful person.
I am saddened to learn of Dave's passing and my condolences to his family. Dave and I dated for a short time while at the U of A. Dave was easy to like, with his warm smile, twinkling eyes and friendly way.
Sincerest condolences to this gentle big mans family.
I had privilege of knowing Dutch for over 30 years. In the last 10 yrs..more on a level that underscores our fragile natures.
Rest well big fella..
"Dutch" was my first rugby coach back in 1987. His enthusiasm and love of the game was infectious and kept me coming back. He was always a gentleman and set an example that I now try to emulate when I coach youth sports.
Sincerest condolences to Dave's family and friends. It was always a pleasure being around him.
Dutch's smiling face will be missed around the gyms in Edmonton. He was a great guy with a huge heart.
Many fond memories of this "gentle giant of a man"! My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
My sympathies go out to the friends and families of "Big Fella". I will not be in Edmonton for Dave's Celebration of Life but I will raise a toast to him Friday afternoon. To "one of a kind".
Dave was one of those special guys who lit up a room with his smile and his ability to make others smile. He will be missed but remembered well.

My most sincere wishes to the family and many friends of 'Dutch' Holland. I was blessed to have been part of his life in our 'formative' yrs with the Golden Bears Basketball program and in the early days of the Nor'Westers Rugby Club.

Dutch helped me be a better player but more importantly a better person. Rest in peace Dutch, you contributed to many people's lives and will be remembered!
My thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time. May the memories of past times embrace each of you and bring you peace.
