Al, it feels like a hole has opened in my life. While I have not seen you in over 20 years, your contribution to my doctoral studies as supervisor and mentor changed my life. I will be forever grateful. June, I am so sorry for your loss and wish you only wonderful memories.
Dr Al...what a wonderful mentor and advisor you were to so many. Your classes on Supervision will never be forgotten; you taught your students so much through your unique wit and your concise, precise conversations. You will be missed but forever remembered as your name is carved into the Wall of Fame with Ingram, Ward...Al, using your own words of recognition, " You, AL MACKAY were a 'Biggy' " God Bless.

To All of the MacKay Clan: Your dad was a wonderful man. He was always kind and took great pride in helping others. Your dad was such nice man,as he always helped myself and Ann learn our life lessons with compassion, even when we probably didn't deserve it!!! I loved him too. May you have many cherished memories of this brilliant man your whole life through.
Our sympathies to June, the children and extended family. It was always a fun day when Al came to visit. His generosity of stories and humor gave us a glimpse of a character that will be truly missed,The Staff of Alta Moda
Al was one of the best mentors I had during my graduate tenure. He always sailed a least energy track and probably is doing so still :)

I knew Al for 40 years and had the wonderful experience of having him as my advisor for my MEd and for providing advice on my PhD. He was a wonderful, erudite, and caring man and an excellent academic and teacher. Thanks for everything Al. You will be much, much missed.
