Faye I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I remember him as such a nice person! My mother also sends her sympathy.
A Lt.Col., A Gentleman & My Grandpa!

Grandpa Elwyn,
Such an amazing man!
So witty and wise,
Always organized with a plan.

You liked to use your coupons,
And go out for good walks,
You sure did like to golf,
I savoured all our talks.

You appreciated a good scotch,
And wore neat little hats,
I think all will remember,
Your perfect hearty laugh.

You always had the nicest lawn,
And vacuuming was your household chore,
I still hear Grandma say, "Oh Elwyn",
A fond memory I cannot ignore.

You were always encouraging and supportive,
In ways you maybe never even knew,
But to those whose lives you touched,
They knew it to be true.

Even though your heart was marred,
It was still very much in tact,
At your weaker state I held your hand,
And you squeezed mine back.

So blessed you got to know my son,
Rex loved his Great Grandpa,
But we know you're happy now,
Re-united with Grandma!

As much as it saddens me today,
To know that you aren't here,
We celebrate your life well lived,
And special memories from those years!

Grandpa, thank you for all you have taught me. You made a huge impact on my life...xo
Bob and I are very sorry to hear about your loss. Elwyn was dear to us and his kind, gentle manner will always be remembered.
I've known Elwyn and Esther since 1953 when my parents, the Varyu's moved next door to them - I babysat Holly, Dawna and Faye starting when I was 13 yrs. old and felt always a close kinship with Elwyn and Esther and their children - we had many happy times going to Seba Beach and the farm with the Freeman family and have fond memories to cherish.......Renee Davies
Grandpa was so smart and very witty. His smile and kind demeanor will not be forgotten. His running joke with me was to check and make sure that I wasn't failing any of my students. It was great to have him play and joke with Phoenix, and to cuddle Griffin. May he rest in peace.
Elwyn was a member of our 55 Plus Club and he always was at floor curling, making sure everything was set up. He had a wonderful spirit. My deepest sympathy. We will remember him and will put up a name plaque on our memorial wall in our club in his honor.

Tracey, Tim and girls - so sad to hear.
All things beautiful last forever kept within sweet memory... may your memories keep him close to you always and help you get thru this difficult time.

Elwyn Freeman, it is with sadness that we note the passing of Ellie. I worked for and with Ellie Freeman during many of his years with Diversey Corp. Both Cathy & I considered Ellie and Esther true friends. We had many good times together and still reminisce about the laughs we shared over the years.
Our condolences to his family.

I remember 2 special things about Uncle Elwyn. First, he was a great supporter of his wife's portrait artistry. I stress the word artistry, rather than just painting. He loved all of his talented children. Second, he was a great baby sitter of me during my early childhood. He taught me a lot.

Good people are always missed.
Sad to see you go Grandpa. Wont forget all those wonderful memories especially our bond to Jasper Park Lodge. Jazmin hopes Papa Jesus has helped you find Great Grandma in Heaven! Love Always Jazmin, Marj and Ben.
Sad to lose one of the very special grownups in my life. We shared our birthday. Uncle Elwyn always made a point of reminding me often of our special connection. He appreciated his good fortune in life, especially having Esther and all of you to love. Sending you good wishes and keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Leslie
Remember the smiles and the laughter that you shared with your Dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
