Dear Janet

I shall keep very fond memories of the times Eric and I shared the stage together. Not only was he a fine actor, but he was a sincere and honest man, with a great sense of humor, and a love of my homemade bread.
More recently, I will treasure his daily brief conversations on my scheduled work days at Lady Minto. God in His infinite mercy Has chosen to replace Eric's anxiety and reslessness with eternal peace and happiness. In this winter season, God Has picked 'a violet from the snow.'
May God give you strength, and bless and keep you.

The Battlefords lost a true gentleman and a good friend with the passing of Eric. I will always remember his kind ways, his wonder words and the fun we had helping him to create not just what he wrote but others.
This may be the end of strutting the boards for Eric but his memory will live on in his words and our hearts.
