Dear Tom, I have been trying to write you a letter for the past week or so. You left us so swiftly, so softly I can still here your chuckle, and feel you warmth in the room at our Rotary meetings. I travelled to the end of Maligne last week on a very calm night. I stopped and said a prayer for you at the picnic sight half way. Two eagles travelled by my side for a very long time. It was like they were saying it was OK to say goodbye my friend, you will be dearly missed.
Just last September, I had the privilege to spend some time with Tom in Jasper. We laughter and shared the memories of our Deer Lodge, Summer Times. Dear friend, Tom, you will be missed, and will remain in our hearts and our prayers. May YOU rest in peace.
My condolences to Tom's family. I knew Tom in Jasper since the 70's and thought a lot of him as a friend and as a businessman. He was kind, friendly and thoughtful. I will miss going into Jasper Rock and Jade to chat with him.
I worked at Deer Lodge with Tom for five summers, three alongside him as a bellhop, and we became good friends. He passed on to me many of his fishing skills. We fished in the mountain lakes and streams often, hiked and camped together and organized many of the Round house parties as well.He was a wonderful, kind and considerate person. It was his sense of humour and easy going nature that I think back to the most these days. It was so good to see him again at the reunion in Lake Louise two years ago.My next foray into the mountains around Invermere, which will be soon, will be in his memory. My condolences to his family.Take care Tommy!
I arrived at Deer Lodge in 1968 ... with no idea what I was coming to. I'll always remember Tom taking this new kid on a walk to the end of a frozen Lake Louise. He was always a kind, caring man with a smile on his face. A pleasure to have known him. My condolences to the family.
Tom...we love you and you will be very sadly missed by all your friends from the Deer Lodge years...xoxoxoxo RIP Dear friend, was so wonderful to reconnect with you...Condolences to your family...
Tom was always kind and generous. I remember him as one of the first people to talk to me when I arrived at Deer Lodge in Lake Louise in 1970. RIP and condolences to his family.
Rest in Peace, Old Friend.

We were all blessed to have know him, with much love , Debbie Frank / Victoria B.C.
Tom was one of the first to welcome me to Rotary. He was a kind and gentle soul who lead by example. I will miss his fellowship, but will always remember his smile and supportive demeanour. My sincere condolences Courtney, Neil, and sister Sandra.
Sandy and Courtney,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother and uncle. I can remember us girls on a ski trip visiting Tom and his amazing store and also his home. He was so welcoming, very nice man. I know you will miss him so very much, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I had the privilege of being one of Toms employes during the years I lived in Jasper. He was always in a cheerful mood and would do almost anything for the people he employed, even when my Heath got the better of me resulting in me moving back home he did what he could to help me out. Thank you Tom, I'll miss you Tom.
My husband and I were deeply saddened to hear of Tom's sudden passing. He was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed. May the strength of God surround you, his family and friends, as you grieve his loss. Rev. Debbie And Marc Brill
Tom was a valued customer for over 20 years. He became a friend and will be dearly missed.
I knew Tom when I worked in Jasper in the early 80's. He was truly a wonderful man. Always had a smile on his face and a hug for a friend. I stopped in to see Tom every time I went back to Jasper over the past 30 years just to say hello. He will truly be missed.
