My name is Susan Bayly. Bill and my dad served together with the Algonquin regiment. He made several visits over the years with my Mom and Dad. After my Dad passed in 2001, we kept in touch through letters and phone calls. He lifted my spirits, made my Mom smile, and shared stories with me about my Dad. I had just written a letter to Doc to tell him about the passing of my Mom. I had a feeling something was wrong when I couldn't reach him by phone. My condolences to the family. I will miss the calls and the letters from him. He was a special man, and my Dad thought the world of him. I grew up
knowing what a great man he was and how much "Doc" was admired and respected. You were very lucky to have him.
