Dear Barb,
Carol and I would like to offer our sincerest condolences and sympathies to all members o f your family on Jim's passing. Receiving Jim's emails over the past years has certainly been a roller coaster ride as we hoped and prayed that the impacts of Jim's cancer would just disappear and everyone would be able to enjoy the life of Jim as we normally expect. Reading about your struggles and strengths as family, individuals and a couple battling and working together was truly amazing.
We will always remember the good times we shared from day one of our meeting to the last time we connected. Jim was a special person that touched the lives of many and had a profound influence with family, friends and professional work we know he loved. Jim's spirit lives on.
Please include our hugs as you pull family and friends together to find strength to continue without Jim's super hugs, sounds of laughter and zest for life.

We are deeply saddened to learn of Jim's passing. Jim possessed a remarkable generosity of spirit, and an openess and tolerance which gave those around him a genuine feeling of inclusiveness. This together with his great sense of community and wonderful optimism enabled the realisation of vital sections of the Trans Canada Trail within the County of Athabasca. Memories of Jim are the fondest. Our thoughts and prayers are with Barb and Jeanna.

Barb and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. The world has lost a amazing man. He always brought laughter and fun. We have many great memories from the cabin and hunting camp. May he rest in peace.
