Mary invited me for tea and showed me the study where she worked on her books in her home in the valley when I brought her the packet from friend Kathy Braid of Paul Braid's souvenirs from WWII to use while writing The Flight of the Tiger Moth. She wrapped the white silk pilot's carf around her neck and flung the end over her shoulder and held the pilot's log in her hands saying that she only ever seen a pilot's log once before opened to one page behind glass in a display case. Her acknowledgement is in he book and now comes up when we Google our names. We met her family at the book launch at the Aviation Museum and extend warmest condolences. Love those books....
