Venus PARKMAN

We just want you to know how much we miss Venus even today. The world is not the same without her laugh and smile. She was a friend to all who knew her. What a blessing she was. Much love to her family and God bless you each one.

Being so distant, I'm only finding out today about Venus' passing. I'm sorry to hear she lost her struggle, but I hope she is at rest.

I met Venus when we both worked in Mississippi, and even though we only spent 1.5 years living in the same city before I moved on, Venus was my closest friend there.

I have just returned from an African Safari and spent 11 days thinking of Venus every time I saw a giraffe. They are gentle creatures, just like she was.

The thing I will miss most are her annual Christmas letters -- I enjoyed them so much.

RIP, Venus. The world is emptier without you.

I'm Cheryl Balman, but when I knew Venus I was 17, single, and Cheryl Read. Today I went online to find my old friend from college, Venus. Discovering her gone leaves me so sadened. I'm sitting here looking at years of her friendship through her ever-faithful Christmas letters and pictures. She brought such a joy to everyone and her smile will be greatly missed. Venus was truly a devoted friend and her love for her family was evident in every word and action. I send my prayers up for her family.

I feel grateful to have known and worked with Venus. I originally met Venus as we attended UofA together while completing our nursing degrees. I recently worked with Venus in Community Health. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during their difficult loss. Venus always seemed to make those around her smile.

I feel blessed to have met Venus in the hospital in December. Her bravery in the face of her servere illness was and is an inspiration to me. I know she would have fought right to the end. I think often of her and her mother and girls. My warmest thoughts and prayers are with you.
