My sister & I had the honour of being in the Parkview School choir under Mrs. Woodrow's leadership. I remember my mother saying that we'd rush home for lunch only to rush back because Mrs. Woodrow had a practice scheduled. What did we learn from Mrs. Woodrow? Respect. Teamwork. Discipline. Coincidentally, the album our choir made was on my desk as I read of her passing. She remains to this day, all these years later, the most influential teacher I ever had. I looked at the record to see if there was any one song title that would honour her, and found one: Keep On Singing. Mrs. Woodrow, you were amazing and will be remembered fondly by this former student and, I'm sure, many others. I will keep on singing in your memory.
