Wish I had visited you before I moved. Thank you for always keeping an eye on my wondering cats and helping the girls with their French when they were young. Peace be with you!!!!

I'll always have fond memories Marie. She was always happy to see me and interested in my news. Everyone who knew her will miss her and it is a blessing that she no longer suffershave fun with Dad and the others in that better place.

I read with sadness the passing of Marie Pahud but at the same time I was reminded of wonderful childhood memories. Marie, Maggie, and their brothers were friends of my parents, Lucien and Lucie Bédard. Each Christmas, we visited the Pahud home where Marie and her sister had the most wonderful Nativity Scene on display. In the corner of one bedroom they would strategically arrange, from ceiling to floor, an assortment of cardboard boxes covered with a large piece of imitation rock fabric, recreating a beloved Swiss mountain. Among the crooks and crannies, they placed moss which I was told had been gathered and brought over from Switzerland. Plaster sheep, shepherds, angels and all the 'personages' were carefully placed in the 'crèche'. It was enchanting to the eyes of this little girl. Also, Edouard and Cécile Pahud, were my brother Maurice's godparents. Faithfully, every Christmas, they came to the house to deliver his present; always a fabulous toy. I particularly remember a metal airplane with friction activated propellers. I am grateful for the friendship and generosity that the Pahud family extended to our family.
