It's been a year since Patty left us. I think about Patty all the time. Remember the trips we took together and look at trip photos. What a beautiful person and she will always been in my memories. Life is about memories and I have many of Patty as my dear friend! Miss your laugh and smile, Patty.
To Scott and the rest of the family ... keep well and also smile at all the wonderful memories!!!
Scott,so very sorry about Pat's passing! My heart goes out to you and yours!I was shocked to hear the news and I will always remember her beautiful smile and hardy laugh!I also remember how courageous she was with her surgery and how very lucky she was to have you by her side always!May she rest in peace!
Dear Scott and Family, I was a colleague of Pat's who worked with her on and off over the years and enjoyed her immensely. We were away and came home to learn of Pat's passing. I miss her already and her smile will not be forgotten. I always loved running into Scott and Pat in the TC lobby and hearing of their next great adventure. Sometimes it was vacations and other times a night on the town. Regardless of which, it always was cherished.
It's how she made everything seem so special that I will miss the most.
She was an amazing gal!
Hugs to all at this very tough time.

Dear Scott and Family!
It saddens me to hear of Patty's passing and I am sorry I cannot be with you to share in Patty's life as I just found out today (Apr 30).
I have great memories with Patty. From getting to know her while attending NAIT and our many visits in Edmonton and also our trip to Cuba and then Scott, you and Patty and me tagging along at the Dominican wedding of Paul and Ruth. Of course your wedding out in Crossfield and then at the farm by Two Hills. Visiting out at Stony Plain and me at your house in Airdrie. I loved Patty's infectious/unique laugh and beautiful smile. Patty will always be in my heart! Thinking of you! Lotsa love ... Ilka
Scott and Family ... I'm so sorry I cannot be there today to celebrate Patty's life. I actually just got the news today. Patty and I first met at NAIT and then travelled together to Cuba when Scott, you and Patty first met and then we were in the Dominican for your friends' wedding. What a tremendous lady, Patty! She will forever be in my heart!
Take care...Ilka
The blessing in all of this is having met and/or known Patti. Warm, kind hearted, full of life with an engaging smile. That is how she will be remembered.
We are so sorry to hear about Pat. What a tragic loss and too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with Scott and the rest of her family.
As a girl growing up a mile down the road from Patty, I have oh so many memories. Birthday parties and sleep overs, begging my mom to let me go and ride my bike over to her house. Most times Patty would meet meet me halfway or more. Her giving and caring nature evident as a child. We played pretend everything...from being bank tellers in the upstairs of the old house to working at G.O.s making pretend ice creams using the seed drills as our counter/order window. As we got older we talked about bands and boys and stole cigarettes from her parents and would smoke them far in the field thinking no one would ever know. Patty was always the brave one. I one time had this great idea to sleep in the upstairs of our barn overnight. We spent all day planning and preparing and dragging bedding and things up there...only to have me chicken out last minute. But not Patty. In high school I remember her as kinda quiet and shy...on the outside, but those that knew her knew she was full of fun and laughter. We had many years of riding the school bus together. I admired her ability to speak up in the face of something wrong even though no one else was willing to stand up. A hard thing to do in teenage years. But with Patty, right was right. Our lives drifted after high school, as such things happen, and I would only see her at funerals or reunions or just the odd chance our paths crossed. But her smile never changed. I am so glad I was able to visit with her at her dad's farm sale. I remember her laughing that she bought a horse. I had no idea she was ill. When my mom told me she passed away...a heaviness in my chest set in and all the memories of my childhood friend and neighbour came flooding back. Such wonderful memories. Thank you Patty...
My deepest and sincerest condolences to all.
