Pat was the sister of my partner Selena. I had the pleasure of meeting Pat on a few occasions in Edmonton and Amsterdam. Her adventurous life has been an inspiration. Although faraway in terms of miles she is always close to our hearts and minds. I wish her, her family and friends strength in this time. I wish Pat happy travels in her next journey.

Dear Alex, Simon, Steve and Alex Jr. I am so very sorry for your loss. Pat was a great and one of my best friends and I will miss her dearly. She was a kind and generous friend and we are always there for each other. Again, sending my sympathy to your family. Love, June

I'm Selena, Pat's youngest sister from Amsterdam. Due to my absence, I would like to present an excerpt of my Eulogy.

Why I Love Pat and My Gratitude...
I also the family times we all shared during Christmas at your house. I miss those happy days with you and your energetic family.
More than anything, I love her humble nature and warm heart with a dash of Pat's humor.
I love that she enjoyed her music, dancing, travelling, laughter, cooking, and can she cook!
Thank you for your genuine unconditional love that you had shown in countless ways over the years.
Thank you for your support in my upbringing, my education, my adventures and my dreams.
Thank you for keeping our line of communication open during our 40 years of highs and lows.
Thank you for your many many gifts especially that beat up mini X'mas tree you sent to me when I was in Queens, NY. The leaves fell off but still lovely like a Charlie Brown X'mas Tree. I was dirt poor without a freelance gig, to get a big package like that in the mail meant the world for me. And thank you for your last package to me just a few weeks ago.
Thank you Pat, I learned so much from you...you were and remain my source of inspiration.
I hope today the sun shines through and then sunsets in stunning technicolor colors as we picture your sweet smiling face and no longer in pain. It's those of us left behind that must deal with the pain and the loss we feel. Now, although that life is gone from your body, Pat will forever be full of life in our hearts and our memories.
I promise not to forget the loving memories you so kindly and generously gave me!
And a very sincere thank you from my partner Theoniek and I to my brother-in-law Alex and my nephews for making this difficult moment just a little bit more bearable. While they are doing a lot of hard work to prepare this day.
Love you Pat, now and always.
