I'm still in shock over the passing of Scott, he was a special guy, funny as hell, genuine, smart and one of a kind....going to miss our visits over a beer or a text conversation. Like I mentioned to friends not many people can make me laugh but he was one. I'm going to miss him but I can't even imagine the pain the family is feeling. My deepest condolences Elly, Virginia and Alex.

Sending my condolences to Scott's family. It was a short time I've known him but he was like a friend who likes to talk non stop, he will be missed.

I cannot imagine how difficult this time is for Scott's family. Those of us lucky enough to get to know and spend time with him through our work and community connections will miss him substantially. Scott was kind, inclusive, smart, and funny. He made an impact everywhere that he went, in a good way.
It was an honour to get to spend time with him here and there, and he will continue to inspire us through the many memories that people will share about him.
This past January in Prince George, I got to witness Scott gifting a local community member with a Christmas ornament of replica Inuit Boots (Kamiks). She was very touched. That Scott remembered their conversation and found this memento for her was typical of his gentle nature and commitment to his word and world.
My deepest condolences and sympathy.

So very, very sorry to hear this news. Scott was such a warm, spirited, and all-around amazing human being. He lit up and deeply enriched our work lives. He will be truly, truly missed. Sending my heartfelt condolences to Scott's family and friends. Kathleen Hunter, Manager, Prairie Federal Council.

Hello Elly and family

I am deeply saddened to hear about your loss with Scot's passing. I worked with Scott when I first came to Alberta and Western Economic Diversification. He was an upstanding and exceptional man who was fun loving, down to earth, very caring and proud of his family. I pray for all of you for strength during this difficult time. Someday I hope to come and meet you Elly since I have ehard so much abut you and the kids when we worked together. I hope we can find time for coffee soon so I share some of the funny stories about when we worked together.

It will be difficult to live in a world without you Scott. You were always witty, funny, kind, generous, curious. You had a great sense of humour, and made us laugh many times. I still laugh when I think of you wearing that false mustache when Shirley and I had lunch with you on Feb 16. You were always curious and interested in what was going on in the world, especially computer and scientific advances. You liked your rock and roll music - thanks for burning that music CD for me. You always spoke lovingly of your family, and were always eager to share what your kids were up to. You made us all feel good about ourselves. Thank you for being a friend. Until we meet again...
