Steven's kind heart and warm smile will be fondly remembered for a lifetime. I will always remember Stephen's love of dogs as when I lived there he always showed the dogs attention when he came in the door from school. It has been two years already since you have been gone and painfully taken from this world too young. My heart still goes out to The Penny family for such a tragic loss. Know that I think of you often and I think of Stephen when I revel at the magic of nature. Love Tesh xox

To the Penny Family....Words cannot express how sorry we are to hear of your family's loss of Stephen. May the outpouring of sympathy and the wonderful strength and love of your Family help you through this most difficult time. We always admired the pictures and stories of you all with Stephen at the center of many of those family activities (especially jamm'in in the garage) and events as your family has grown since the birth of Stephen in Cobourg. Although we were not around to see Stephen grow up after Glen and Deb went West we certainly felt close as good friends. Kelly and I sincerely express our condolences and deepest sympathies to your entire family.

I've always considered the Penny's as my second family. The bond we all share is completely seamless, that sometimes I forget I'm family not by blood. Now that a giant piece of that bond is missing, it's going to be really hard to fill that void. Every holiday, every dinner, every time I pop by Debbie & Glen's house I'll be constantly envisioning... hoping that when I walk through that front door, Steve will be sitting on the kitchen stairs like he always does, laughing and drinking coffee while eagerly showing me a live Metallica music video on his phone.

I'll always remember Steve for being a dedicated worker, for his generosity, his thoughtfulness, and how skilled he was at being grateful. No matter what was thrown at Steve he took pride in the small things in life; sometimes I'd see him wake up in a fantastic mood just for the fact that he got a morning shift and got to see the sun that day.

I wish things turned out differently for him. I wish Kev & I got the chance to welcome Steve & Annie into our home for that simple dinner party he kept requesting. The last time I seen Steve, he told us that was his wish. To simply see our new apartment and hangout. He was so excited that he told me he was randomly driving around Terwillegar in hopes of running into our condo building. But his life ran too short and we never got the chance to do that simple small thing that meant the world to Steve. Kev and I will regret that for the rest of our lives. He'll forever be in our hearts and we'll never stop thinking about him. For every day he's not on this Earth, - while we are, I know his spirit walks by our side.

Please accept my sympathy in the death of Stephen. When I saw Stephen's picture in the newspaper, I remembered him as he entered grade 1. He was always kind and a friend to other students, he always had that big smile and always, always worked hard and gave his best.

My deep sympathy on your loss. I can not imagine the grief attached to losing someone so young. May the God of all comfort give you and your family fortitude and strength for the days ahead.

Stephen was undoubtedly the dearest and bestest friend I have ever had. Countless memories have Stephen at my side, going back as far as I can remember. For 35 years Stephen was always the sweetest, most dependable and loving friend I could have ever asked for. Growing up the Penny household was my home away from home, and I'm proud to consider myself as the 'fifth Beatle' to the four Penny brothers! So many adventures I can look back on, as kids and as adults, many good and a few bad (lol), so many great times of which kept Steve, myself and are group of friends together as one.... Memories of which I will never forget. Stephen and I bonded through every aspect of life and forever shall I cherish our time as partners in crime! Steve, I will miss your unexpected and random knocks at my door when you would come by just to say hi...I will never forget how you could fill me with the perscence of your innocent energy, warm smile and loving heart. Though I have made peace with your leaving this earth, I will not say good bye. I will love you always Steve...as my fondest companion, my desrest friend, and loving brother... I will miss you! You will remain in my heart and memories until we see each other again. I know you will save my seat and keep the beer on ice! Until then my friend - I will love you always!

While visiting Phoenix with Bruce and Marlene, we heard the news of your loss of Stephen, way too soon for anyone at such a young age. I remember that night vividly with tears and past emotions of the loss of our son. Needless to say, stay strong on this day and please accept our sincere condolences and sympathy. Time will heal the pain and love does conquer all. Chris Koichopolos (AKA Chopper) and Sue Koichopolos

I will always remember the smile Steve would have once he got behind a drum set. He will be missed but never forgotten.
