I am so sorry to hear of Bills passing. My family lived for years next door to the Dragers. They were a wonderful family and great neighbours. I recall when I got married Bill came down the lane in the fire truck and stopped by to see us at the house.
Deepest condolences

Our sincere condolences from our family to yours.I always referred Bill ..As Mr Drager. In the 50 years our families shared lakefront properties beside each other. It took me until I was 45 yrs old to feel comfortable about calling him Bill.
Bill was a strict and very maticulis man but had a heart of gold and would do anything to help his neighbors and friends out anyway he could. Thinking back to my evil days as a teen one particular weekend I had stolen a bunch of wood from him and burned it during a party I had.The next day Bill kicked me outta bed yelling you burned 1/2 my wood shed. (Obviously very mad). Lol. I denied it as most guilty kids would , that's when he replied to me. I'm a fireman. I know what my wood looks like after it has been burnt.. lol. Hard to argue with that.Guilty as charged! Among many other great memories from putting the piers and hoists in the lake on the May long and pulling everything out on the Sept long . You will be missed emencly Mr Drager you and Hellen raised two outstanding men Jay & Dean and I hope you and my mom Louise get a chance to sit together and have a pilsner on the front lawn.Your spirt will alway be at the lake.I know Moms is. You maybe gone Sir,but you will never be forgotten. RIP Bill. I'm pretty sure there's a King Size bed waiting for you.

Sincerely
Rob Baron & Family

To Helen and family our deepest sympathy on the passing of Bill. My first Captain on the FD and the man who formed my mindset for the next 35 years of work. I loved the man and was lucky to call him a friend. Thanks for all the memories Bill.
