I knew Bill through Sharon and Denise. Consistently of good humour. Always an interesting guy to talk to.
A fun guy to golf with. Wish we'd done that a few more times...
My very best wishes to Sharon and Denise and the rest of Bill's family....

I worked with Bill as a DC for a couple of and have many fond memories. We retired together and Bill joined the Nasa golf group and he was my partner up until about a month ago. I will always remember and admire his courage this golf season as he struggled to play but was determined to complete 18 holes . We will miss his wit and humor .He is gone but will always be in our memories . Dan+Elaine Taschuk

On behalf of the Edmonton FireFighters Memorial Society, Please accept our deepest condolences on Bill's passing.
He will be truly missed!
I have been told how well respected Bill was on the Fire Department for his leadership and how he cared for the people that he worked with.
We want to give your family time to grieve your loss but if you could please mark Friday Sept 11th 2015 on your calendar, as that will be the day of our Annual Remembrance Ceremony.
It will be the day that we remember all those members that we have lost in the past year.
It is also a very special ceremony as we have the family members of those members involved in the event itself.
It gives us all a chance to say goodbye and it helps with the closure as well.
If I could have a family member to contact me at 780-619-1564 or at [email protected] then I can get back to them and we can talk about arrangements for next years ceremony.
In closing, please accept our deepest condolences on your loss and know that Bill will be missed by many.

I had the opportunity to work with Bill at Station 3 some 28 years ago and again downtown at Station 1. I will always remember the permanent grin he had on his face and the ease at which he laughed. He will be missed.

Caption O'B interviewed me when I joined the department. I then had the opportunity to work with him as my Captain and as my Chief. I also had the chance to curl against him in the fire league. A great smile and a great mentor. He will be missed.
