Sorry for your loss and may everyone finds comfort knowing God will strengthened those mourning for their loved ones from Isaiah 61:1, 2.

Vincent and Family,

It was with great sadness that I heard of Ed's death. He and I served together on the staff of Serenity Hospice and Palliative Care earlier in this decade when he was the social worker and I was the chaplain. I found him to be a wonderful colleague and a great friend. I regret that we have been out of touch over the last few years; I would very much like to have spent some time with him, particularly during this especially difficult time. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers, and don't hesitate to reach out with any needs with which you feel I may be of help.

My name is Norbert (Bert) Lain, and I knew Ed when he was on the staff of Camp Villa Marie, as was his future wife, Vincent deBorde. We all had a very high opinion of him as a kind, generous, very dependable person. I am sure that he was a great social worker, since he possessed every quality that one could ask for in that important profession. I am very sorry to learn of his passing. Well done, good and faithful servant.
