There are no words to even express the sorrow I feel right now. Stormin Norman, there will never be another one like you!! I will always have the utmost love and respect for you and what you did for our country!! To his family and friends, I offer my deepest prayers and sympathy!!! Such a large loss for everyone!!! We lost a great hero today. A great hero is now with the Lord.

I worked with HNS when he was a brigade cdr. at Ft. Lewis WA, after I returned from the DMZ. His temper is often mentioned (I saw it in person) but he was also very funny and he really did care about the troops. In his book he tells how he told the troops he'd made general...that version was sanitized for civilian consumption - I was there and what really happened was a lot more fun!!
