Ann G. Pauli, 73, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012. Born August 24, 1939 in Kermit, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Sheldon Guthrie and Jennye Lee John. Ann was a 1957 graduate of Midland High School. She received her undergraduate degree in Russian History from The University of Illinois, Urbana. She received her bachelor's degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at El Paso and was a certified public accountant. She received a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, Online Campus in 1996. Ann was a long time resident of El Paso where she lived since 1971. She worked atProvidence Memorial Hospital for several years, and was the President and CEO of the Paso Del Norte Health Foundation until she retired in 2007. Ann also served on the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners from 2006 until 2012. Ann loved playing with her cats and dogs and also loved to garden.Ê Ann became a Master Gardener in her retirement and volunteered at the Chihuahuan Desert Garden at UTEP.Ê ÊShe is survived by her daughters Catherine (Cossy) Jennifer Hough and spouse Rob Carroll of Austin, Texas and Jessica Ann Hough and spouse Raina Brubaker of Bethesda, Maryland; and by three grandchildren Lily Carroll, Ashton Brubaker and Wesley Brubaker. Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, November 12, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church in El Paso, Texas. I had the "honor" of working and learning from a GREAT lady, Ann Pauli while at Providence Memorial Hospital. May she rest in peace, and may God comfort those she left behind.

I'm shocked and saddened by Ann's death. She and I were fellow students at UTEP when both of us returned to college to pursue accounting professions. She'll be missed by many people. My condolences to her daughters and grandchildren.
