Upon meeting Gary for the first time he was scary to me. I was 25 yrs old and very timid. We got invited to dinner at his home on base at Fort Bliss and after that I was very relaxed around him. My (then) husband had always looked up to him when they worked together at Fort Bliss. To the family I would like to extend my sincerest sympathy for your loss of a good man.
