My deepest sympathies for your loss. I lost my father at 18, he loved George Jones. He would always say, " there's your daddy, Allyson " every time he came on the radio or tv program. I've always had his music in my life, and for that I am truly grateful. May God comfort you.

God bless George Jones. He filled in for Loretta Lynn in Monroe Michigan when she was sick, thus treating me to the best concert I will ever witness. George and the Jones Boys were spectacular. Knowing that George paid for his friend Johnny Paycheck's funeral made me love him all the more. What a decent and generous man. George, say hi to my dad up there, he was an early fan of yours. You will never be forgotten!!!

The world has lost the greatest voice in Country music.. but you have lost a husband, father, and friend. Our collective voices of love and comfort will not replace that empty place in your heart or your lives that he filled. I hope you will find comfort in the great number of us pouring out admiration, tribute, and tales of how The Possum's music touched our hearts and souls. Others may continue to "play the Oprey" but they will never fill his shoes.
