I recall that during my first years as a correctional officer, at FCI La Tuna Dr. Lucker and I exchanged pleasantries and in the process we both found out that my brother in-law Paul, was his intern way back in the 70's at FCI La Tuna. He always greeted me with kind words for me and my family and for my sister Esperanza and Paul. I am just finding out about his passing. His years of Public Service at FCI La Tuna are remarkable and many will miss him. I will pray for his eternal rest in the daily masses my wife and I attend. God bless the Lucker family with the graces they need to deal with this hardship. May the perpetual light of Christ shine upon him!

Mr. Lucker,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army-and then for the citizens of El Paso when you served with EPPD and then our Country again when you served in the FBP. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Mrs. Lucker, Josie, Jeannie, Billy, Cathy, and Richard...
We are so saddened to hear of Dr. Lucker's passing. We have fond childhood memories living across the street from you on Driver Circle. I bet your family was the first to have a computer! At such a young age, I remember all of you being so talented and smart. From ballet to judo, what wonderful parents you were blessed with. Our deepest condolences to all of you. You are in our prayers. We give thanks for knowing Dr. Lucker.

Bill was a few years ahead of me at St. Patrick's and to my surprise I ran into him when I too was assgined to US Army counter intelligence in Panama. He was most helpful in getting me, a newbie agent, organized in our very interesting and exciting work. A true friend over the years who will be missed.

Dearest Marie and Lucker children,

I am so very heartbroken to hear of Bill's passing. The 23 years living next door to Bill and your family was truly amazing. I remember how witty, funny, and charming Bill was. I treasure the conversations we had about family and career. He was the true essence of fatherhood. Bill's legacy as a father, a highly respected professional and scholar, and a man of profound faith is an inspiration to those who knew him. Vivianne and I are very blessed to have been touched by his wisdom and kindness. God bless and comfort all of you, and may our Lord Jesus forever keep Bill in His shelter and love. Rest in peace, Dr. Lucker!

I grew up next to the Luckers. They were like my second family throughout my childhood. I loved spending time with them. Mr. Lucker always had a warm laugh. We are so heartbroken to hear of his passing. Wishing Mrs. Lucker and the entire family peace and love through this difficult time.

Dr. Lucker was my mentor in every sense of the word. The impact he had on my life is immeasurable. A true gift...and if he could read this he would undoubtedly circle all my grammatical errors with a red marker! So blessed to have known him. Love and prayers to his family (who he talked about ALL the time!)

Words cannot express the great loss of Dr. Lucker. He was brilliant and such a caring man. I will never forget his wisdom and tender heart. He taught me so much about behavior change and how to approach the incarcerated individuals at FCI La Tuna. My deepest sympathy to his wife and family. We lost a great man, but heaven gained the best. Love, Melanie

Dr. Lucker was a very good man. I had first met him during my psychological interview for the El Paso Police Department.

A few years later, his knowledge, experience, and encouragement were invaluable to me as I pursued my degree in Psychology. I proudly bear the scars left behind from his absolute directness. It was exactly what I needed that at the time - and I am grateful that he was the kind of person that cared enough to deliver it as bluntly as humanly possible. Sometimes that's the best medicine. Over the years, I grew to appreciate his directness and honesty in much the same way that I would appreciate a big hug or a firm handshake from him. His honesty was in direct proportion to how much he cared - and I am eternally grateful for that. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Lucker family. Rest in peace, Bill. You will definitely be missed, but remembered fondly.

Fond childhood memories of time spent with the Lucker family. Mr. Lucker always shared a welcoming smile and the challenge to think & express our ideas.
Much love and respect,
