Ten years ago, I had the good fortune to get to go back stage after one of the Quartet's concerts because my date knew his bass player. Dave posed for a photo with me. I told him: "Dave, I have been trying to play your music on the piano for 40 years". His response to me: "So have I".
I cherish his existence and contributions to the world.
