Still missing you Joe. Spent many hours talking to Joe as a teenager. He was my confidant and waited up for me to return home from Dates. Had lots of fun taking both boys swimming in the summer. Although our families took priority as we grew up I never forgot the closeness we had growing up and what a kind, insiteful individual he was, how he saved his money and how neat he was from an early age. He was a delightful person to know and have as a brother. A one and only, he is dearly missed. God bless his family on this day remembering their Husband and father as well as his siblings and friends. You will never be forgotten

Remembering how close you and dad were. Thinking about how you looked out for Erika even before we knew what was going on. Praying that I can live up to you and dad´s legacy of love and kindness and hoping that I can teach my kids the same. Missing you both but so glad you have each-other.

Dad was never the same after you moved on Uncle Joe. You were the wallpaper on his phone when he died. He knew it was coming and he had seeing you again to look forward to. Thank you for that.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. I can't believe it has been over a year already . Joe was a good man ,never show me a frown , always was upbeat . I did not see him after high school , but I always wonder what happen to him , until I saw him at his house when he lived at Hollyhock street off of Sun Valley . I can't remember why I went over there for , but that was the last time I saw him .

Uncle Joe was such a solid person with a good heart. He came through for me so many times over the years. And I am certain that there are many thankful strangers out there whose lives he saved or changed as a firefighter. Love you always Uncle.

I enjoyed working with Joe for a few years as he was my chief. When I heard of his passing I recalled a conversation we had one evening in his office. Both of us being believers, he talked of his dependence on and love for Jesus Christ. I know he's with Him now. May God give peace to his family.

My prayers go out to his family. Joe was a good firefighter and will be missed by all of his fellow firefighters. Throughout his career he was a good employee and someone who could be depended upon. As a fellow Battalion Chief I respected and appreciated Joe. Rest in peace brother.

I can remember working with Joe at Fire Station 5. One of us named him "Spike" and it stuck. He probably didn't like it but never said a word. He was like that. I have nothing but very fond memories of him and I know he will be missed. God Bless you his family and thank you all for sharing "Spike" with us.
