Living in the sticks meant looking for a way to be entertained which your parents would approve of. Rock and Roll did that - and along with the Fabs - the DC5 helped propel from childhood to womanhood. I never saw them in person but loved their music. I too rushed home from Sunday evening church services to watch Ed Sullivan and the DC5. Funny to think of it now - but very important to make it home in time to catch the show.
