Hi papito.

It's being 5 years and 5 months since you were killed. Although I I'm different today since then, my wound is still raw. I move along (autopilot)and I have accomplished (thanks to you and God) a couple of things and met distinguish people to honor you and the other Fallen, but I will never will be able to surpass this pain, that is until Jesus comes. Many have being killed or committed suicide after your pass and it breaks my heart to see that happens, because I know the pain of the families left behind. So many people have being touched by your story and even if it hurts I want to continue to tell it. Some people has shared their thoughts through here and I'm eternally grateful and to Orlando Sentinel through Legacy.com for keeping your memory alive. All these years have passed since then. I don't know how many still remember , I hope they do, but new ones have heard of you or seeing your picture in my car. Thank you for being my son. You're in my heart always and you're greatly missed. I can't wait to see you again. I pray for all your buddies from school and the Army and others as well and for those families who had loss a loved one. When you wake up upon Jesus coming, you'll radiant and still 20 years old. Regardless of the pain, I think that will be awesome. Te amo hijo and I look forward seeing you again. Until then.

With a lot of love
Mami

On this Memorial day ,You Jalfred have been on my mind. Young a tough young man and good hearted.<br />I remember when you asked me if I had any advice for you before you left and I told you Pray ( him and I smiled ), also pay attention to the training the Army has for you , then I said develop a close relationship with your fellow soldiers, They'll be your family out there. You may be gone, but your attitude and smile lives on, May God bless you and the family.Rest in Paradise young man.

A year and 7 months ago you gave your life for people you didn't know. You have no idea how much pain that has caused to many, especially me. I love and miss you so much papito. I tell myself that you're resting now from all sadness of this world and I'll see you again when Jesus comes again , even though it helps a little my heart is empty without you. Te amo my son and I can't wait to see your beautiful smile once again.Mami
