Loving son, brother and friend, John David Apodaca, 39, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. John is survived by his loving parents, Joe O. and Carmen Apodaca; brothers: Arthur Joseph and Oscar Armando Apodaca (Martha); nephew, Armando; and niece, Sammy Jo. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. John enjoyed all sports and was a fan of the Miami Dolphins. He will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be from 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m., Friday, December 07, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. A Rosary will be at 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 07, 2012 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 08, 2012 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 8600 Winchester St., El Paso, Texas 79907. Although John is not here anymore, I can never forget the amazing memories we cherish. John is the most amazing, loving, and giving person. Everyday in my mind and heart. rest in peace john.

My son Chris played with Michael Tapia, John, Phillip, and other boys from the neighborhood when I visited my parents on Old County Road. I know that he and his friends will always have fond memories of John.
