Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of our former Pershing Rifles National Commander, Robert Avner. We owe him a debt of gratitude for his service in WWII and Korea as well as the work he did to re-establish the National Society of Pershing Rifles after World War II.

Remembering your quiet sense of humor and great love of war movies. I am so glad you were part of our family. So many people loved you and you leave a wonderful legacy.

Mr. Avner,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served during WW II and the Korean War and also for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
