To the Perez Family,

Your daughter was truly a gift from God and her place in this world can never be forgotten. The lives she touched, and the people she developed will make sure she is always remembered. Though I know the hurt is here now, I feel the comfort of knowing Taz is now where she belongs, Next to her maker smiling (as always) and looking out for us. Thank you for her, and who she was. My prayers are with you all.

May God's peace comfort you during this time.

To The Perez Family:

My prayers are with you during this time of great sorrow. I was deeply saddened when I heard of Emily's passing. Emily was intelligent, confident, and just an all-around beautiful person. Although we hadn't kept in touch much since high school, Emily and I did get a chance to sit down and catch up at the OHHS class reunion. It was such a blessing to be able to see and talk to her. She was a courageous soldier who was proud to serve our country. Please take comfort in knowing that Emily was an inspiration to many and that her spirit lives on in all the people she has touched. God Bless.

To the family of Lt. Perez,

My heart goes out to your entire family at this time when sorrow weighs so heavy in your heart. May God keep your family close to him and reassure you that you will see Emily's beautiful smile again. She was with some of the greatest people in the world. I was in the Air Force and I know that she felt the strongest friendships with the soldiers standing by her side. May Emily rest in peace.

Sincerely,
Racheal

Dear Perez Family,
I just wanted to let you know that your daughter was a blessing in my life. I first met her at while singing in the Cadet Gospel Choir as a plebe and she really became like a big sister to me. I'll never forget how when I was going through and wanted to leave the Academy, she gave me spirit filled advice and told me to stick it out because God would see me through. I will miss her deeply, but it brings joy to my heart knowing she's in Heaven looking down on us.

The Perez Family:

I know words cannot express how deeply I value what your daughter means to this country in her untimely death.

I live about 8 miles from West Point and I see the cadets all the time in restaurants in the area. I often wonder if this is the last time some of them will ever enjoy life.

May God bless you and keep her in your hearts and minds.

Rest in peace, Emily, you beautiful child of God.

My deepest condolences on the lost of your daughter.
