I met Larry in 1980. We worked together and traveled together. Travel led to all parts of the country. Larry had a great sense of humor, which made traveling, up to 7 days at a time, lots of fun. Larry was respected as a no nonsense safety and O.S.H.A. inspector for the company. He knew his area of responsibility better than anyone I have ever met. I was asked to be in Larry and Sharon's wedding (as well as his all night bachelor's party!). Larry will certainly be missed. He was one of the most honest, decent men I have ever known. I was honored to be able to call Larry a good friend.

I worked with Larry at Smurfit where we were on the Wellness Team together for years. Larry had a passion for all things safety. What a wonderful sense of humor! I will never forget his smile. Larry was one classy gentleman and I am so sad to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to Sharon and his family.

I worked for Larry at Jefferson Smurfit several years ago but never forgot what a good boss he was. He was always encouraging and inspired me to pursue a career in Human Resources. We had some great times playing for the company softball team and many happy hours! He will be missed.

Larry was a fine gentleman and a caring friend to all. He was a great leader in many things, particularly in the area of safety. We have missed him in the safety profession. Larry provided good counsel to me as I transitioned into a safety professional role and I enjoyed our visits and discussions. I am saddened by his departure but know he has gone to a great place. My sincere condolences to Sharon and the family.
