I spent many a summer evening in my youth fishing at Melvin's pond. Recently I had the pleasure of bringing my own son over to fish and meet Melvin. He knew my father when my father was a child, knew me, and then met my son. A good man.

Melvin was such a kind, gentle man. I still remember the first time I met him. His wife, Sally, was my favorite teacher. He came to our classroom one day to see her and I just thought he was so special. They were always so good to me. Rest in peace, Melvin. You will be dearly missed. Love and prayers to you, Sally.

We have lost a great man who shared his life with everyone. All the children who now have children of their own will miss Melvin and the time he spent with them hunting and hay rides. He was a Giant of a man to all who new him and taught them how to enjoy life. He was a live long friend
to all his neighbors. God Bless Melvin for all he shared with all the men and women who he touched in their life
