Francis Bernard Rauch III, 62, Lancaster, Pa., passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at home surrounded by those he loved. For two years, Frank remained optimistic in the face of adversity. He fought bravely during that time against a terminal diagnosis, an anaplastic astrocytoma. He was overwhelmed daily with the outpouring of love and support from both family and friends.
Born March 14, 1955, in Washington, to Frank and Josephine Rauch, both deceased, Frank is survived by his loving wife, Janise; daughter, Amanda; son-in-law, Jon Miller; son, Frank; daughter-in-law, Natalie; adored grandchildren, Frankie and Katie; sisters, Kathie (Herb) Dill, Mary (Steve) Otto, Ellen L. Anderson, Sally (Darryl) Haddox, Martha (Richard) Brueggemann and Molly (John) Dawson; many nieces and nephews; Frank's beloved in-laws, the family of John and Joan Piontek; many friends; colleagues; and especially dear friends, Mike and Debbie Valentini.
Frank was preceded in death by the loss of his sister, Jo Ann Rauch, Portland, Ore.
Frank was the president and CEO of Apex Advertising, a company he started over two decades ago, a business he treasured, filled with people who brought him true joy. Frank maintained a zeal for life, was fond of golf, wine, travel and laughter with friends. He lived passionately and gave all of himself in every endeavor. Frank was a devoted husband, a loving father and a proud grandfather.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 East Orange Street, Lancaster, Pa. Friends and family will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the Mass at the church.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
