I think each and everyone that does something for our country and our people deserve never to be forgotten. Bless all their families also.

I'm a quite late at signing this memorial book- but that doesnt make me any less sad. I've read many of the entries and they are so brief- yet so eloquent. Where I live there was little, if any, coverage or rememberance of the Columbia tragedy and that makes me so very sad, too. (In the "hick" county I am forced to now live in- SLO Calif-they dont cover much news outside this county!! You need cable to get tv reception except for the local NBC affiliate and I dont always have access to the tv hooked up to cable.) So, if there were any memorial services broadcast, I was unaware of them. But, that will not stop me from taking the time to remember those brave, adventerous young people who paid the ultimate sacrifice doing what they did the best and were happy doing it. God bless the crew and their families as the one year mark continues. May we all learn from them, the crew members coming from 3 countries and consisting of both genders, that we can get along, respect each other and live in harmony.

Today is the first anniversary of this terrible loss. We will never forget this day when me and my son were outside of our house waiting to see the shuttle return... May your souls rest in peace.

To the families and friends of the crew of the Columbia we send our heartfelt prayers as we approach the 1st anniversary of the tragic accident that claimed these brave space explorers. We grieve as a country and hope that you are sustained by the thoughts and prayers of the world.

Whenever I gaze at the star-filled night sky, I will think of your loved ones, up there, with others who have given their lives in search of answers to questions that may not have answers.
